Offical Cocktail Reception at the Vienna City Hall (Rathaus):

The Rathaus of Vienna (City Hall) is situated at the edge of the city centre. The entrance of the "Rathauskeller" is from the "Rathausplatz" (in front of the Rathaus).

To get there from Karlsplatz:

1. Underground:
   • Take the U2-Line to "Rathaus"
   • Go round the Rathaus (huge, black building) to the front entrance (Rathausplatz).
2. Tram (which is a nice trip on the "Ring"):
   • Go to the opera (there is a passage starting at the conference site)
   • Take the tram line 1 or line D (clockwise direction) to "Rathausplatz, Burgtheater"
